Installing Near Walls:

Concrete pad mount is recommended - but other surfaces may be acceptable with aluminum floorplate option, available for a nominal cost.

Pad should be 4” thick with at least 6” extra width extending around the assembled modules. The slab should be reinforced with 6x6 #10 wire mesh. Pad should include an expansion joint at minimum intervals of 10’. The joint should be key way type but should not fall where frame foot attaches to base, at least 6” away.

Recommend 6’ access aisles around three sides of units.

Installing on Parking Areas:

For regular shaped parcels, one typical parking space (is 250 to 500 sq. ft. each stall) and yields up to 18 individual bicycle locker spaces (avg. 23 sq. ft. each - includes share of access lane). Note: for irregular shaped parcels, the bicycle locker yield per parking space is higher.

The Cycle-Safe bicycle locker footprint is only 10 sq. ft. per individual bike locker stall.

This configuration shows two starter units and ten add-on units. Averages eight individual lockers per parking stall.

Use aluminum floorplate option on asphalt.

The basic "package" includes:

• The precision engineered, factory fabricated, reinforced plastics enclosure and locker panels in cartons on skids, is shipped packaged for field assembly. Typical delivery is by common carrier with offloading to site by fork lift truck.
• All necessary nuts, bolts, fasteners and miscellaneous hardware. All door lock hardware, keys and ID number plates.
• Complete assembly instructions and drawings.

The only elements you provide are labor and material for:

• Locker assembly and the foundation pad.

Prices from Cycle-Safe Inc. are exclusive of installation service established by buyer for product supplied but not installed. Assembly labor skills required are for an installation crew of two men, one with carpentry-type skills and one helper. Allow approximately ninety minutes for each two locker compartment unit from start to finish on pad surface.
